| Description: | Though the Rust community has expressed interest in designing introductory-level computer science courses around Rust, such courses remain hypothetical as of this writing. Thus, this paper has a speculative style, imagining one design for a future introductory-level Rust course. I do so in the context of a discussion on the state of programming languages in introductory courses and a review of students’ educational needs in these courses. My goal is to inform the development of such future courses. |
