(http://www.keypress.com/x5656.xml) The Fathom files include: How likely is it than half of the promotions will be given to women?; The Monty Hall dilemma; The One Son Policy; Three coins; and Two dice and their sum. ; This presentation discusses what standards and research say about the learning of probability, dice and coins with Fathom, and how to solve problems by doing simulations. Fathom is a software useful in high school Algebra courses which makes it easy to integrate data analysis and effective technology use into curriculum.
