| Περιγραφή: | Quale vincolo lega le discipline umanistiche all’informatica come scienza dell’informazione? Quale rapporto sussiste fra le humanae litterae e una disciplina che si occupa di forme di rappresentazione, trattamento ed elaborazione dell’informazione? Il connubio, come gli interrogativi sollevano, non coinvolge i soli aspetti strumentali di uso della macchina informatica. Obiettivo del volume è ragionare su aspetti e settori della ricerca umanistica che possono essere ripensati alla luce dei presupposti teorici, metodologici e tecnici della scienza dell’informazione: dal concetto di informazione alla sua formalizzazione, dalle reti ai sistemi di basi di dati, dai linguaggi di markup agli ipertesti e ai sistemi multimediali. Ma è soprattutto sull’elaborazione dell’informazione che si concentra la “computabilità umanistica”: dal trattamento automatico del linguaggio naturale al Web semantico, dai metadati alle biblioteche digitali. ; What is the link between humanities and computing as information science? What relationship exists between humanae litterae and legislation dealing with forms of representation, processing and data processing? The connubio, as the questions raise, does not involve only the instrumental aspects of the use of a computer machine. The aim of the volume is to think about aspects and areas of humanistic research that can be rethought in the light of the theoretical, methodological and technical assumptions of information science: from information to formalisation, from networks to database systems, markup languages, hypertext and multimedia systems. But it is above all on data processing that focuses on ‘humanistic computational’: from automatic processing of natural language to semantic web, from metadata to digital libraries. |
