| Περιγραφή: | This article analyses various aspects of military-political cooperation between Ukraine and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) from the restoration of Ukraine’s state independence in 1991 to mid-2024. In 2019, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine enshrined in the Constitution the course toward obtaining membership in the European Union and NATO. It is worth emphasizing that Ukraine, as an international entity, has entered into numerous agreements, memoranda, and arrangements with NATO, and the evolution of these relations is examined in this context. In the 1990’s, Ukraine received certain security guarantees from powerful states. It was believed that Ukraine, through reforms, should achieve a certain level of development in the military industry, state and national security, and the defense-technical sector, which would eventually lead to full Euro-Atlantic integration. However, there were specific gaps in this strategy. In 2014, Russia annexed Crimea and initiated a war in the eastern regions of Ukraine, violating all international treaties and conventions. Several media outlets dubbed this conflict a «hybrid war». In February 2022, the Russian authorities issued a criminal order to their army and launched a full-scale war against Ukraine. The international community responded, and leading Western countries have been providing Ukraine with weapons to defend its territorial integrity and prevent the spread of war across the European continent. This article examines key events and documents from the period of Ukraine-NATO interaction. The evolution of military-political cooperation between Ukraine and NATO is considered through systematic and retrospective analysis. Emphasis is placed on the historical context, which includes the study of the main stages of cooperation, signed agreements, and achieved arrangements. Attention is focused on the assessment of political aspects, involving the evaluation of political decisions and strategies from both Ukraine and NATO. У статті зроблено історико-наукознавчий аналіз особливостей розвитку в пострадянській Україні наукових досліджень у сфері інформаційного протиборства як одного з ключових елементів сучасної воєнно-політичної конфліктності та неконвенційних (гібридних) війн. Розглянуто провідні суспільні та оборонно-безпекові чинники, які вплинули на формування проблематики профільних студій, інфраструктуру вивчення інформаційної боротьби в секторі безпеки та оборони України, становлення вітчизняної наукової школи. Проаналізовано головні напрями досліджень інформаційної безпеки в інтересах науково-аналітичного забезпечення відсічі новітнім загрозам національній безпеці України. |
