| Περιγραφή: | The food industry of Ukraine is one of the key sectors of the economy, as it plays a significant role in solving multi-vector tasks - ensuring the country's food security, creating a significant number of jobs, forming a significant share of export revenues, producing goods with significant added value, and contributing to the development of related activities. The current transformational stage of its functioning requires the study of changes that characterize the current period of development of this sphere - production dynamics, structural changes, regional features, and efficiency of activity. That is why the purpose of the study is to conduct an analytical analysis of the development of the food industry of Ukraine and assess the impact of military aggression on the key parameters of its functioning. In the conditions of the ongoing war and global changes in food markets, this industry remains a pillar of stability and potential for further economic growth of our country. Thus, in 2023, the volume of sales of the food industry of Ukraine amounted to UAH 892,7 billion, which is 23,8% more than in 2022, the industry provided 20,3% of industrial and 6,35% of national production, 4,08% of employed workers were involved in food production, 25,7% of the industry's products were sold outside the country, which indicates the importance and role of the industry in the country's economy. It is worth noting that military aggression negatively affected the scale of the industry's activities, causing a reduction in sales volumes in 2022 by 14,4%, however, already in 2023 the food industry managed to exceed the pre-war level by 5,94%. The industry dynamics turned out to be better compared to the change in the scale of the national economy in general and industrial production in particular. We can conclude that the food industry has demonstrated significant resilience in the face of military aggression. The conducted studies allow us to conclude that military aggression has created significant threats and challenges not only to the effective development of the food industry of Ukraine, but also to its very physical existence. The destruction of food industry enterprises and their infrastructure, disruption of internal and external logistics, shortage of qualified personnel due to migration and mobilization, problems with power supply to production, limited investment and high uncertainty of the environment require extraordinary and quick solutions from food manufacturers. Despite all the problems, the industry demonstrates relative resilience to military challenges, significant adaptive potential and plays its role in solving key socio-economic issues. Харчова промисловість традиційно є однією з провідних і соціально значущих галузей економіки України. Сучасний трансформаційний етап її функціонування потребує вивчення змін, що характеризують поточний період розвитку цієї сфери – динаміки виробництва, структурних змін, регіональних особливостей, ефективності діяльності. Це дослідження присвячено аналітичному аналізу розвитку харчової промисловості України та оцінці впливу на ключові параметри її функціонування військової агресії. Результати дослідження демонструють, що харчова промисловість виявляє значну стійкість функціонування в умовах викликів військової агресії, зберігаючи темпи свого зростання та вдало адаптуючись до змін середовища. |
