| Description: | This publication presents the syllabus of the academic discipline for the professional and methodological training of pre-service foreign language teachers: “Modern Educational Technologies for Teaching Foreign Languages”. The purpose of the course is to familiarize pre-service foreign language teachers with the theoretical foundations and practical methods of using modern educational technologies and tools in foreign language instruction to develop pupils’ foreign language communicative competence in general secondary education institutions. In particular, the course aims to foster in bachelor’s and master’s degree students the professional and methodological knowledge and skills required for analyzing, selecting, and designing teaching materials using modern educational technologies and tools for teaching foreign languages. This contributes to the formation of the integrated competence of graduates of professional programmes for pre-service foreign language teachers– namely, the ability to solve complex tasks and problems in the field of methodology of teaching the first and second foreign languages in both professional practice and academic contexts. The course content is divided into two thematic modules. The first module presents the theoretical foundations of using modern educational technologies and teaching tools in general secondary education institutions. The second module reveals the practical aspects of applying methodologies using modern educational technologies and tools for teaching foreign languages in order to develop pupils’ communicative competence. The course helps pre-service professionals develop methodological thinking, acquire knowledge about the role, place, types, and forms of modern educational technologies and teaching tools, and gain practical skills in analyzing, selecting, and creating teaching materials based on modern educational technologies and tools. The course objectives include key aspects of the formation of general and professional competencies as outlined in Ukrainian professional programmes for foreign language teacher training. У цій публікації представлено робочу програму навчальної дисципліни для професійно-методичної підготовки майбутніх учителів іноземних мов “Сучасні технології навчання іноземних мов”. Мета вивчення дисципліни полягає в ознайомленні майбутніх учителів іноземних мов із теоретичними основами та практичною методикою використання сучасних технологій і засобів навчання іноземних мов задля формування іншомовної комунікативної компетентності учнів закладів загальної середньої освіти, зокрема у формуванні в студентів бакалаврату або магістратури професійно-методичних знань та вмінь аналізу, добору і самостійного розроблення навчальних матеріалів із використанням сучасних технологій і засобів навчання іноземних мов. Це сприяє формуванню інтегральної компетентності випускників освітньо-професійних програм із підготовки майбутніх учителів іноземних мов, як-от здатності розв’язувати складні завдання і проблеми в галузі методики навчання першої і другої іноземних мов у процесі професійної діяльності та навчання. Зміст навчальної дисципліни розкривається в двох змістових модулях. У першому модулі подаються теоретичні основи використання в освітньо-виховному процесі сучасних технологій і засобів навчання іноземних мов учнів закладів загальної середньої освіти, у другому– розкриваються практичні аспекти методики використання сучасних технологій і засобів навчання іноземних мов у формуванні іншомовної комунікативної компетентності учнів закладів загальної середньої освіти. |
