Research results. The study summarizes the main criteria for diagnosing post-traumatic stress disorder, the psychological consequences for mental health that arise in a person as a result of experiencing traumatic events. An empirical study of the manifestations of PTSD in military personnel is described, and the selection of methods for their diagnosis is justified. An analysis and interpretation of the diagnostic features of PTSD manifestations are presented. The results of the examination using the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Self-Assessment Scale (PCL-5 Methodology) showed that 27% of the military personnel from the entire sample have PTSD manifestations, since the PCL-5 scale is a reliable tool for screening PTSD. The data obtained on the level of aggression in military personnel with PTSD, assessed using the Bass-Darkie questionnaire, allowed us to state that despite the presence of PTSD in all subjects, the level of aggression in the studied group varies significantly. This indicates that PTSD is a complex disorder that manifests itself in each person individually. Although increased aggression is one of the possible symptoms of PTSD, not all people with this disorder demonstrate high levels of aggression. When working with military personnel with PTSD, it is necessary to take into account the specifics of the manifestation of aggression in each patient. There is a wide spectrum of suicidality among military personnel with PTSD. Although PTSD is one of the strongest predictors of suicidal behavior, not all people with this disorder are equally likely to commit suicide. Originality. The article proposes an author's methodology for studying the features of PTSD manifestations in military personnel. Practical significance of the study. The results of the study can be used by psychologists to diagnose the specific manifestations of PTSD in military personnel. Conclusion. The results of the survey using the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Self-Rating Scale (PCL-5 Methodology) showed that 27% of the military personnel from the entire sample had PTSD symptoms, as the PCL-5 scale is a reliable tool for screening for PTSD. Despite the presence of PTSD in all subjects, the level of aggression in the study group varies significantly. Although increased aggression is one of the possible symptoms of PTSD, not all people with this disorder demonstrate a high level of aggression. The next stage of research on this issue is the diagnosis of the features of other manifestations of PTSD in military personnel and the development of a special psychotherapeutic program to help them. У статті аналізуються основні критерії діагностики посттравматичного стресового розладу.
