Περιγραφή: The processing of timber on pulp and paper mills inevitably leads to the formation of a large amount of waste. At present, these wastes are mainly incinerated. The efficiency of the incineration process is not high. As an effective way of sawdust, bark, gravel and screenings utilization it is proposed to use them for the wood-concrete composition manufacturing. The study demonstrated the possibility of such use of waste. It is established that the composite strength depends on the wood filler type and composition. The composites have strength in the range from 0.38 MPa to 4.48 MPa, which makes it possible to use them as structural and heat-insulating building materials.
