Περιγραφή: Air quality monitoring has become a crucial tool in addressing environmental and public health challenges, the presence of harmful gases and particles has a direct impact on human health and well-being. During this project the ESA's Air Quality Platform will be re-built and adapted to fulfil the goal of not only monitoring the air quality but also teach the reader of this project how a piece of equipment such as this one is made, regarding both hardware and software. The aim of this project is to teach the reader, an engineering student, about the process of developing and implementing a functional air quality monitoring station, which can be understood and expanded by anyone with knowledge of the subject "Digital Circuit and Systems" also known as CSD. The methodology used to ensure the accomplishment of these goals consists of following the design steps taught in CSD, which consists of: Specifications, Planning, Developing, Testing and finally, Prototyping. Furthermore, this thesis informs the reader of the real need to implement a system like the air quality station, teaching the dangers of polluted air, especially in indoors and poorly ventilated spaces. With all the explanations and demonstrations provided in this project, the reader should be able to understand and replicate the steps taken in the development of the Air Quality Station to improve it or even develop a piece of equipment of their own.
