| Description: | The article is devoted to the contrastive analysis of the accentual peculiarities of the English and Russian languages, mainly the influence of the word stress on the accentual structure of a sentence and the changes which the accentual structure of a word undergoes under the influence of tempo, rhythm and speech melody. We consider the accented and unaccented word categories in the English and Russian languages, and we also determine the functional significance of the sentence stress in an utterance formation and dwell on the problem of the different interpretation of the sentence stress in the compared languages. Статья посвящена контрастивному анализу акцентуальных особенностей английского и русского языков, а именно: влиянию словесного ударения на акцентную структуру фразы и изменениям, которые претерпевает акцентная структура слова под влиянием темпа, ритма и мелодики фразы. В статье рассматриваются категории слов, выделяемые и не выделяемые фразовым ударением в английском и русском языках, а также определяется функциональная значимость фразового ударения в формировании высказывания и затрагивается проблема разных трактовок фразового ударения в сопоставляемых языках. |
