| Description: | The imposing Vietnamese youth movement can take many forms, with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union playing a key role. Representing the political core of mass youth organizations in Vietnam, Vietnamese Communist Youth Union develops its activities far beyond the borders of the country. Being a quite autonomous movement within the host country, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union strives to involve Vietnamese youth in active work, while acting as a bridge between the administrative bodies of Vietnam and representatives of local Vietnamese diasporas. Youth Union has been operating in Russia for more than 20 years, where Vietnamese students are the main actors. Based on fieldwork carried out at the Youth Union cell of Vietnamese students in Yekaterinburg, the article demonstrates the features of its work in a foreign context. If in Vietnam the most striking characteristic of Youth Union activities is social practices, then abroad the focus of its work is more likely to be spent on joint leisure. Nevertheless, this leisure is not only aimed at consolidating the local community, it has a rather bright political connotation. Thus, the article, by its specificity, is addressed to both Vietnamese scholars and specialists in anthropology interested in issues of politics and its transcendence among Vietnamese youth in a foreign context. Внушительное по своему масштабу вьетнамское молодежное движение может принимать разнообразные формы, где ключевую роль играет Союз коммунистической молодежи имени Хо Ши Мина (СКМ). Представляя политическое ядро массовых молодежных организаций во Вьетнаме, СКМ развивает свою деятельность далеко за пределами страны. Будучи довольно автономным движением внутри принимающей страны, СКМ стремится привлечь к активной работе вьетнамскую молодежь, выступая при этом некоторым связующим звеном между административными органами Вьетнама и представителями местных вьетнамских диаспор. В России работа СКМ насчитывает более 20 лет, где основным актором выступают вьетнамские студенты. На основе полевых исследований, выполненных при комсомольской ячейке вьетнамских студентов в Екатеринбурге, в статье демонстрируется особенности работы СКМ в заграничном контексте. Если во Вьетнаме наиболее яркой характеристикой деятельности СКМ являются социальные практики, то за рубежом фокус работы смещен скорее на проведение совместного досуга. Тем не менее данный досуг нацелен не только на консолидацию местного сообщества, он имеет довольно яркий политический окрас.
