Description:	The problems of agro-industrial complex of the Crimea that appeared during the time of so-called "independence" of Ukraine are reviewed in the article. The history of essential oil branch development that was the stable basis of the rural economics of the republic in the Soviet times is presented. The data on the state of essential oil industry in the Soviet Union and the situation with essential (volatile) oils on the world market at present are provided. The main producers of aromatic raw materials in the Crimea are indicated. The reasons for the decline in the production of all essential oils in the republic are considered. The arguments for possibility and necessity of this branch development are adduced. Those arguments are based on the presence of the Research Institute with its intensive cultivars, developed technologies of crop cultivation and raw material proceeding, availability of unique biological features of essential oil crops ideally suited for soil and climatic conditions of the Crimean peninsula. The perspective to cultivate main essential oil crops - rose, lavender, sage, coriander, dill, fennel, etc. is scheduled. The nature of the pilot project about establishing industrial and scientific enterprise in the Crimea where the cultivation and complex proceeding of essential oil crops would be done is stated. The aim of our project is to create some deep proceeding enterprises to revive a traditional and perspective for the peninsula branch of production that includes practical implementation of innovation technologies in cultivation, development in raw material proceeding gaining high socio- economic effect. В статье рассматриваются проблемы аграрно-промышленного комплекса Крыма, возникшие в период так называемой "независимости" Украины. Дана история развития в республике в Советское время эфиромасличной отрасли, являющейся стабильной основой экономики хозяйств. Приводятся данные по состоянию эфиромасличной отрасли в Советском союзе и ситуация с эфирными маслами на мировом рынке в настоящее время. Указаны основные производители эфиромасличного сырья в Крыму, рассматриваются причины снижения объемов производства в республике всех эфиромасличных культур. Приводятся аргументы, по возможности и необходимости развития отрасли, основанные на наличии института с его интенсивными сортами, разработанными технологиями возделывания растений и переработки сырья, наличие уникальных биологических особенностей эфиромасличных культур, которые идеально соответствуют почвенно-климатическим условиям полуострова. Намечена перспектива возделывания главных эфиромасличных культур - розы, лаванды, шалфея, кориандра, укропа, фенхеля и других. Излагается сущность пилотного проекта по созданию производственно-научного предприятия по выращиванию и комплексной переработке эфиромасличных культур в Республике Крым. Целью проекта является создание глубокой переработки для возрождения традиционной и перспективной для полуострова отрасли производства, включающего в себя внедрение инновационных технологий возделывания, разработок в технологии переработки сырья с получением высокого социально-экономического эффекта. 228-235
