Περιγραφή: Focusing on the status of the document and the specifities of the authors’ voices in Chernobyl's Prayer (1997), the article aims to offer a new reading of the “transliterary” (L. Toker) works by the Nobel laureate Svetlana Alexievich. We are interested in the following questions: How can an analytical reading of the Chernobyl Prayer from the point of view of Etkind’s psychopoetics and aporias of trauma, historical knowledge, testimony, and witness within the framework of more recent methodological contexts of trauma studies change our understanding of the role of the witness and the writer in achieving the documentary effect of that book? Is it possible to describe literary testimony as a specific type of narrative discourse that erases the line between the “inner person” (Etkind’s vnutrenniy chelovek) and her/his textual representation? Can an analysis of Alexievich’s books revive a discussion on the representations of trauma in literature and culture, utilizing a more constructive approach to the somewhat clichéd thesis claiming its non-representability?
Сосредоточивая внимание на статусе документа и специфике авторских голосов в книге Чернобыльская молитва (1997), данная статья предлагает новое прочтение «транслитературного» (Л. Токер) творчества нобелевского лауреата Светланы Алексиевич. Нас интересуют следующие вопросы: как аналитическое прочтение Чернобыльской молитвы с точки зрения психопоэтики Эткинда, в диалоге с более современными исследованиями об апориях травмы, исторического знания, свидетельства и свидетеля в рамках trauma studies, может изменить наше понимание роли свидетеля и самой писательницы в достижении документального эффекта этой книги? Можно ли описать свидетельствование как особый тип повествовательного дискурса, стирающий границу между «внутренним человеком» и его внешней/текстовой репрезентацией, поскольку опосредованность высказывания здесь, по логике жанра, должна быть сведена к минимуму? И, наконец, позволит ли такой анализ книги Алексиевич оживить разговор о травме, не останавливаясь на уже несколько заезженном тезисе о ее невыразимости?
