Περιγραφή: The amount of uranium in soil samples collected from a variety of residential, industrial, and agricultural sectors in the southern Basrah governorate in southern Iraq was determined using the neutron activation technique for solid-state nuclear track detectors CR-39. According to the findings, uranium concentrations in soil samples ranged from 0.65 ppm to 2.67 ppm. Soil samples were taken from a depth of 15 cm. The results were matched to publicly available data and determined to be within acceptable bounds.
