Description:	The article argues that the actualization of the study of the role of myths in the historical process in the current situation is associated with the need to establish the significance of this phenomenon in the formation of ethnic communities, explain some differences in their spiritual and socio-economic life and traditions, in creating prototypes of the socio-political basis of the state system. It is noted that among the scientific works devoted to the problems of the relationship between the myth and people's ideas about the picture of the world, the monograph by Salikhov G.G. and Galimova B.S.stands out. Studies have shown that the ancient Bashkirs developed their own specific worldview based on the influence of the natural and social characteristics of the region of residence of the ethnic group, which is quite figuratively reflected in the myths, epics, legends and traditions of the Bashkir people. The main folklore text accepted as a mythological base in the study is the Bashkir epic "Ural-batyr". Based on the content of this folklore work, its plot, actions and deeds of its characters and heroes, the idea of the world picture of the Bashkir people is revealed. Ideas about being, space and time, the relationship and unity of nature and man, the place of a person about the world around him, the interdependence of material and spiritual values are determined. The Bashkirs, like all other peoples, have long studied the celestial world and natural phenomena, possessed some knowledge about the celestial spheres and luminaries, about some laws of change in nature and climate. With the development of society and the formation of a new situation, only vision and ideas become insufficient for a person, his needs for knowledge and understanding are gradually formed. В статье утверждается, что актуализация исследования роли мифов в историческом процессе в современной ситуации связана с необходимостью установления значения этого феномена в формировании этнических сообществ, объяснения некоторых различий в духовной и социально-экономической их жизни и традициях, в создании прообразов социально-политической основы государственного устройства. Отмечается, что среди научных работ, посвященных проблемам взаимоотношений между мифом и представлениями людей о картине мира, выделяется монография Салихова Г.Г. и Галимова Б.С. Исследования показали, что у древних башкир сложилось свое специфическое миропонимание на основе влияния природных и социальных особенностей региона проживания этноса, что достаточно образно отражено в мифах, эпосах, легендах и преданиях башкирского народа. Основным фольклорным текстом, принятым как мифологическая база в исследовании является башкирский эпос «Урал-батыр». На основе содержания данного фольклорного произведения, его сюжета, действий и поступков его персонажей и героев, раскрывается представление о картине мира башкирского народа. Определяются представления о бытие, пространстве и времени, взаимоотношения и единстве природы и человека, место человека об окружающем его мира, взаимозависимость материальных и духовных ценностей. Башкиры, как и все другие народы, с давних времен изучали небесный мир и явления природы, обладали некоторыми знаниями о небесных сферах и светилах, о некоторых закономерностях изменения природы и климата. С развитием общества и с формированием новой ситуации человеку становиться не достаточным лишь видение и представления у него постепенно формируются потребности в знании и понимании.
