| Description: | The article is dedicated to the interpretation of the illustrated poetic text by W. Blake "The Blossom" and the analysis of its translation, made by V. Mikushevich. The aim of the study is to identify the system of meanings in the process of interpretation of the creolized poetic text in the original and to study the preservation of the basic meanings in the text of translation on the basis of the application of the theory of conceptual integration. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the appeal to the theory of mental spaces as a productive way to analyse the perception of the creolized poetic text and evaluate its translation. As a result of the comparative analysis of the meanings revealed in the process of perception "illustration + translation text" with the meanings revealed in the process of perception "illustration + original text", it was established that the system of basic meanings in the translated text correlates with the one laid down by the author in the source text. Статья посвящена интерпретации иллюстрированного поэтического текста У. Блейка “The Blossom” и анализу его перевода, выполненного В. Микушевичем. Цель исследования – выявление на основе применения теории концептуальной интеграции системы смыслов в процессе интерпретации креолизованного поэтического текста в оригинале и исследование сохранения основных смыслов в тексте перевода. Научная новизна исследования заключается в обращении к теории ментальных пространств как продуктивному способу анализа восприятия креолизованного стихотворного текста и оценки его перевода. В результате сопоставительного анализа смыслов, выявленных в ходе восприятия «иллюстрация + текст перевода» со смыслами, выявленными в процессе восприятия «иллюстрация + оригинальный текст» установлено, что система основных смыслов в переводном тексте коррелирует с заложенной автором в исходном тексте.
