Description: Исследование распространенности и интенсивности кариеса зубов у детей с умственной отсталостью показывает, что эта группа детей сталкивается с особыми проблемами в области орального здоровья. Из-за ограничений в способности к выполнению ежедневных гигиенических процедур, которые могут влиять на состояние зубов и десен, дети с умственной отсталостью требуют особого внимания со стороны родителей и медицинских специалистов. Целью настоящей работы является оценка распространенности и интенсивности кариеса зубов в данной группе, а также выявление факторов риска его развития. Материал и методы исследования. В исследовании приняли участие 150 детей в возрасте от 6 до 14 лет с различной степенью умственной отсталости, проходящих обучение в специализированных образовательных учреждениях города Махачкалы. Результаты и их обсуждение. Результаты свидетельствуют о чрезвычайно высоком уровне заболеваемости кариесом: распространенность составила 88%, среднее значение КПУ=7,4. Ведущими факторами риска являются низкий уровень гигиены, дисбиоз ротовой полости и ослабление местной защиты. Заключение. Полученные данные целесообразно использовать для разработки специализированных программ профилактики кариеса у детей с интеллектуальными нарушениями с акцентом на оптимизацию гигиены и микробиоценоза полости рта.
A study of the prevalence and intensity of dental caries in children with mental retardation shows that this group of children faces special problems in the field of oral health. Due to limitations in the ability to perform daily hygiene procedures that can affect the condition of teeth and gums, children with mental retardation require special attention from parents and medical professionals. The purpose of this work is to assess the prevalence and intensity of dental caries in this group, as well as to identify risk factors for its development. Research materials and methods. The study involved 150 children aged 6 to 14 years with varying degrees of mental retardation who are studying in specialized educational institutions in the city of Makhachkala. The results and their discussion. The results indicate an extremely high incidence of caries: the prevalence was 88%, the average CPI value is 7.4. The leading risk factors are low hygiene, oral dysbiosis and weakening of local protection. Conclusion. It is advisable to use the obtained data to develop specialized programs for the prevention of caries in children with intellectual disabilities with an emphasis on optimizing hygiene and microbiocenosis of the oral cavity.
