| Description: | This article is devoted to the religious teachings of the Yazidis – an endogamous ethno-confessional community, whose members speak Kurmanji, one of the main dialects of the Kurdish language. Researchers believe that this unique confession contains various elements of Islam, Zoroastrianism, Manichaeism, Gnosticism, Christianity and Judaism. The author acquaints readers with different versions of the story of the origin of Yazidism, at the basis of religious traditions and ritual practice of which is their concern for the preservation of religious purity, closely related to metempsychosis – the doctrine of the transmigration of souls. Considerable attention is paid to the religious cosmogony and mythology of the Yazidis. The peculiarities of the Yazidi religious rituals, rites, and festivities are considered, as well as their interdependence and connection with places of compact residence of individual communities. The article also gives a brief description of Yazidi writings, the definite syncretism of Yazidi doctrine, religious taboos, prayer practice and the complex structure of the socio-religious organization. In conclusion, data are presented on the current state of Yazidism, including available statistical data on the number and geographical distribution of Yazidis in the world. Настоящая статья посвящена религиозному учению езидов — эндогамной этноконфессиональной общине, члены которой говорят на курманджи — одном из основных диалектов курдского языка. Исследователи полагают, что эта уникальная конфессия содержит разнообразные элементы ислама, зороастризма, манихейства, гностицизма, христианства и иудаизма. Автор знакомит читателей с различными версиями происхождения езидизма, в основе религиозных традиций и обрядовой практики которого лежит забота о сохранении религиозной чистоты, тесно связанная с метемпсихозом — учением о переселении душ. Значительное внимание уделено религиозной космогонии и мифологии езидов, рассматриваются особенности езидских религиозных ритуалов, обрядности, празднеств; их взаимозависимость и связь с местами компактного проживания отдельных общин. В статье также даны краткая характеристика езидских священных писаний, определенного синкретизма езидского вероучения, религиозных табу, молитвенной практики и сложной структуры социально-религиозной организации. В заключении приведены данные о современном состоянии езидизма, включая имеющиеся в наличии статистические данные о численности и географической распространенности езидов в мире. |
