| Description: | The article assesses the predicted GDP growth rates of developed countries in 2020 as compared with those of 2019; the countries most affected by the coronavirus pandemic are identified; the changes of the most important market indices such as Nikkei, Dow Jones, FTSE, MSCI World, PMI Global present since the start of the Covid-19 epidemic in 2020 are investigated, and the reasons for the fall of the indices are scrutinized. Moreover, the author conducts a comparative assessment of these figures with the indicators obtained during various economic crises, and studies the influence of the 2020 pandemic crisis on the development of the global tourism industry, including the change in international air travel. Furthermore, the article explores the impact of the new crisis of 2020 on the unemployment rate in the United States as one of the largest states in the world, and compares the values with the historical data. В статье проведена оценка прогнозных значений прироста валового национального продукта развитых стран мира в 2020 г. в сравнении с 2019 г.; выделены наиболее пострадавшие от коронавируса страны; исследованы изменения важнейших индексов рынка: Nikkei, Dow Jones, FTSE, MSCI World, PMI Global с начала эпидемии Covid- 19 в 2020 г.; а также определены причины их падения; проведена сравнительная оценка этих показателей со значениями в период различных экономических кризисов; исследовано влияние пандемического кризиса 2020 г. на развитие мировой туристической отрасли, в том числе на изменение международных авиаперевозок; в статье исследовано влияние нового кризиса 2020 г. на уровень безработицы одного из крупнейших государств мира – США и проведён сравнительный анализ значений с историческими данными.
