| Description: | The article substantiates the necessity of revival and advancement of the aesthetic approach to the solution of the problem of careful attitude to culture and cultural heritage in modern conditions. The author studies the historical stages of development of philosophical concepts, within the framework of which the relationship between art and reality was comprehended. Special attention in the article is paid to the correlation between the image of man and the image of the world, approaches and corresponding methods of research of the aesthetic are characterized in order to highlight the functions of art for cognition of the surrounding reality. In conclusion, the author draws a conclusion about the demand for aesthetics not only in the narrow environment of specialists, but also in the general sphere of humanitarian education and upbringing. В статье обосновывается необходимость возрождения и продвижения эстетического подхода к решению задачи бережного отношения к культуре и культурному наследию в современных условиях. Автор исследует исторические этапы развития философских концепций, в рамках которых осмысливалось взаимоотношение искусства и действительности. Особое внимание в статье уделяется соотношению образа человека и образа мира, охарактеризованы подходы и соответствующие им методы исследования эстетического с целью выделения функций искусства для познания окружающей действительности. В заключении автор делает вывод о востребованности эстетики не только в узкой среде специалистов, но и в общей сфере гуманитарного образования и воспитания.
