| Description: | The article examines a little-studied aspect of the history of the Civil War in the Far East in regional historiography — the financial position of specialists who worked in the education system during the period of war communism on the territory of the Far Eastern Republic (FER) from April 1920 to July 1921. A set of tasks has been solved, including an assessment of the financial position of employees of the Ministry of Public Education, an analysis of state policy in this sphere. The new archival materials identified by the author, presented by circular letters of the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic, correspondence with the government structures of the FER regional departments of public education, professional unions of education workers and individuals on the issues of material support of school workers and the work of the education system as a whole, have been introduced into scientific circulation. The factors that influenced the standard of living of teachers are noted. The study of the economic aspects of the history of education has shown that at the stage of war communism, the state proved ineffective in the matter of its obligations to provide material support for the public education system. The revealed materials clearly show that during the period under review, the problems of financing the education system in the policy of the FER were not a priority. By saving on financing the work of the Ministry of Public Education, the state deliberately sacrificed the education system, including the welfare of teachers, which led to the depletion of the personnel potential of the public education system, and the numerical reduction of the network of educational institutions and the growth of protest moods among Far Eastern teachers. В статье исследован малоизученный в региональной историографии аспект истории Гражданской войны на Дальнем Востоке — материальное положение специалистов, работавших в системе образования на территории Дальневосточной республики в период военного коммунизма с апреля 1920 по июль 1921 г. Решён комплекс задач, включающий оценку материального положения работников народного просвещения, дан анализ политики государства в данной сфере. В научный оборот введены новые архивные материалы по вопросам материального обеспечения школьных работников и работы системы в целом. Отмечены факторы, влиявшие на уровень жизни педагогов. Изучение экономических аспектов истории образования даёт основание сделать вывод, что на этапе военного коммунизма государство оказалось малоэффективным в реализации взятых на себя обязательств по материальному обеспечению системы народного образования, что в рассматриваемый период проблема его финансирования в политике правительства Дальневосточной республики не являлась приоритетным направлением. Экономя на финансировании работы Министерства народного просвещения, государство сознательно жертвовало системой образования, включая и благосостояние учителей, что привело к уменьшению кадрового потенциала, численному сокращению сети учебных заведений и росту протестных настроений в среде дальневосточного учительства. |
