Περιγραφή: The problem of choosing the historical path of the development for our state is always relevant and acute. Therefore, the question arises regarding the choice of the vector of foreign policy orientations. Moreover, relations with the West are at the forefront, since for a long time our country has been developing along the Western-centric path and has been linked by partnerships. Since 2014, the Ukrainian crisis has sharply worsened relations between Russia and the West, led by the United States. The authors note that anti-Western rhetoric could not but influence the worldview of young people. However, despite the growing tension between the two countries, Russian youth have maintained a positive attitude towards the future of relations between the countries, as young Russians consider themselves more of a Western (European) cultural and historical tradition. However, due to the recent change of the political regime in the White House, there has been a clear thaw in relations between the two countries. The aim of the work is to study the development of Russian-American political relations in the views of young people. The results of the authors’ sociological research provide an opportunity to assess the attitude of Russian youth to the reanimation of Russian-American relations. The respondents give positive assessments of the prospects for cooperation between the two countries. The results of the authors’ research also prove that a significant part of young Russians do not perceive the West as an enemy.
Проблема выбора исторического пути развития для нашего государства всегда является актуальной и острой. Поэтому возникает вопрос относительно выбора вектора внешнеполитического курса. И здесь отношения с Западом встают во главу угла, поскольку долгое время наша страна развивалась по западоцентричному пути и была связана с Западом партнерскими отношениями. С 2014 г. украинский кризис резко ухудшил отношения между Россией и Западом во главе с США. Следует отметить, что антизападная риторика не могла не повлиять на мировоззрение молодежи. Однако, несмотря на рост напряженности в отношениях со странами Запада, российская молодежь сохранила позитивный настрой насчет перспектив взаимоотношений между странами, т.к. молодые россияне причисляют себя в большей степени к западной (европейской) культурно-исторической традиции. Ввиду недавней смены политического режима в Белом доме в отношениях между Россией и США наметилась явная оттепель. В качестве цели исследования было выбрано изучение взглядов молодежи на развитие российско-американских политических взаимоотношений. Результаты авторских социологических исследований дают возможность оценить отношение российской молодежи к реанимированию российско-американских отношений; они также свидетельствуют, что значительная часть молодых россиян не воспринимает Запад в качестве противника.
