Description:	The scientific article considers the preferential right of the lessee to conclude a contract for a new term in relation to the lease of land plots. In order to reveal the topic, the author examines the historical aspect of the appearance of this right of the tenant in the domestic legislation, its legal essence from the point of view of the division of rights into property and obligations, as well as the features of modern legal regulation of this issue. At the end of the work, the author formulates the provisions that must be taken into account by land users for the successful implementation of the right to conclude a new contract in priority with respect to third parties. В научной статье рассматривается преимущественное право арендатора на заключение договора на новый срок применительно к аренде земельных участков. В целях раскрытия темы автор исследует исторический аспект появления данного правомочия арендатора в отечественном законодательстве, его правовую сущность с точки зрения деления прав на вещные и обязательственные, а также особенности современного правового регулирования данного вопроса. В завершение работы автор формулирует положения, которые необходимо учитывать землепользователям для успешной реализации права заключить новый договор в приоритетном по отношению к третьим лицам порядке.
