Description: The author of the article systematizes disaggregated and controversial data related to problems, possibilities, and methods of preliminary examination of paint and lacquer coatings. The following problems are considered as traditional ones: establishing the affiliation of the detected particles with a certain type (qualifying them as particles of paint and lacquer coatings), establishing the affiliation of the particles of paint and lacquer coatings with a certain sort, and determining that the detected particles and the particles of paint and lacquer coatings (comparative samples) belong to the same sort. In the author’s opinion, specific problems have, as a rule, a diagnostic character: establishing the method of applying paint and lacquer materials over the painted object, establishing the fact of repainting and touch-up painting of the item, determining the color of the painted item, establishing the mechanism of forming traces of paint and lacquer coatings, etc. While drawing conclusions about the preliminary examination of particles of vehicles’ paint and lacquer coatings based on the study of their morphology, it is advisable to take account of the peculiarity of repair and handicraft coatings. The exposed indications of repair coating give grounds for the conclusion about the method of applying paint and lacquer materials. If only indications of factory coating are detected it is reasonable to draw the conclusion as a probability.
В статье автор систематизирует разрозненные и противоречивые данные по задачам, возможностям и методам предварительного исследования лакокрасочных покрытий. К традиционным задачам относится установление: видовой принадлежности обнаруженных частиц (отнесение их к частицам лакокрасочных покрытий); родовой принадлежности частиц лакокрасочных покрытий; общей родовой принадлежности частиц, обнаруженных на месте происшествия, и частиц лакокрасочных покрытий – сравнительных образцов. Специфические задачи, по мнению автора, носят, как правило, диагностический характер: установление способа нанесения лакокрасочных материалов на окрашенный предмет; установление факта перекраски и подкраски изделия; определение цвета окрашенного изделия; установление механизма образования следов лакокрасочных покрытий и др. При формулировании выводов по предварительному исследованию частиц лакокрасочных покрытий автомобилей, основанному на изучении их морфологии, рекомендуется учитывать особенность ремонтных и кустарных покрытий. Если выявлены признаки ремонтной окраски, то можно с достаточной уверенностью делать вывод о способе нанесения лакокрасочных материалов. Если же выявлены только признаки заводской окраски, то предпочтительная формулировка вывода в вероятной форме.
