Περιγραφή: The current state of vegetation cover of dry steppes of the Southern Sub-Urals, attached to dark chestnut soils, is reviewed. The greatest species saturation of Poaceae and Asteraceae families was established, with absolute dominance of Poaceae family representatives at all sites. A total of 56 species belonging to 19 families were recorded. Comparison of vegetation cover of slopes and uplands showed tendencies of increasing species diversity and productivity of phytocenoses of slopes of northern exposure in comparison with slopes of southern exposure. Plant communities on the northern slope of the upland are more similar in species composition to the communities on the levelled area in the zone of southern chernozems than to the phytocenosis in the zone of dark chestnut soils.
Рассмотрено современное состояние растительного покрова сухих степей Южного Подуралья, приуроченных к темно-каштановым почвам. Установлена наибольшая видовая насыщенность семейств Poaceae и Asteraceae, при абсолютном доминировании на всех участках представителей семейства Poaceae. В общей сложности отмечено 56 видов, относящихся к 19 семействам. Сравнение растительного покрова склонов и возвышенности показало тенденции повышения видового разнообразия и продуктивности фитоценозов склонов северной экспозиции в сравнении со склонами южной экспозиции. Растительные сообщества северного склона возвышенности более схожи по видовому составу с сообществами на выровненном участке в зоне южных черноземов, чем с фитоценозом в зоне темно-каштановых почв.
