Description: The XXVIII issue of the journal/collection of scientific articles “China in World and Regional Politics. History and Modernity,” published annually by the Institute of China and Contemporary Asia since 1996, includes articles by specialists from six divisions of the ICCA RAS and a number of Russian and foreign research institutions. The authors continue analyzing most significant issues of Russian-Chinese relations and foreign policy of the PRC, which have remained topical for many years, and latest developments in the international relations of China as well. A special feature of the issue is the study of China's role as a driving force in shaping a new world order, one of the mechanisms of which appears Chinese Global Security Initiative. The collection also deals with such a pressing and debatable issue as India's ability to become the pole of the “tripolar” world. The following topics have also been addressed: China's current relations with the European Union, in particular with the Baltic states; various aspects of China's dialogue with Central Asian countries in the “post-Pandemic” period; China-Pakistan political relations; the specifics of China's position on the problems of the Korean Peninsula; the strategic partnership between China and the Republic of Belarus, as well as China's cooperation with North African countries. The following little-studied issues are also covered: interaction between China and Pakistan in infrastructure and energy sectors' development, role of border crossings in the cooperation between Russia and China on the example of the Chinese province of Heilongjiang, etc. The book also includes works analyzing such issues as Western oriental studies' approaches to the periodization of China's foreign policy, some facets of the international significance of “modernization of the Chinese type”, practical aspects of Russia's cultural diplomacy with regard to the PRC.
XXVIII выпуск журнала/сборника научных статей “Китай в мировой и региональной политике. История и современность”, ежегодно издающегося Институтом Китая и современной Азии с 1996 г., включает статьи специалистов из шести подразделений ИКСА РАН и ряда российских и зарубежных исследовательских структур. Авторами продолжен анализ наиболее значимых вопросов российско-китайских отношений и внешней политики КНР, сохраняющих свою актуальность на протяжении многих лет, а также недавно проявившихся моментов в международных отношениях Китая. Особенностью выпуска стало изучение роли КНР в качестве движущей силы в формировании нового мирового порядка, одним из механизмов чего предстает Инициатива в области глобальной безопасности. В сборнике изучается и такой острый и дискуссионный вопрос, как способность Индии стать полюсом “трехполюсного” мира. Рассмотрение получили текущие отношения КНР с Европейским союзом, в частности с прибалтийскими государствами; различные аспекты диалога Китая со странами Центральной Азии в “постпандемийный” период; китайско-пакистанские политические связи; особенности позиции КНР по проблемам Корейского полуострова; стратегическое партнерство КНР и Республики Беларусь, а также сотрудничество Китая со странами Северной Африки. Освещались и малоизученные темы: взаимодействие Китая и Пакистана в области развития инфраструктуры и энергетики, роль погранпереходов в кооперации России и Китая на примере китайской провинции Хэйлунцзян и др. В книгу также вошли работы, содержащие анализ таких вопросов, как подходы западного китаеведения к периодизации внешней политики Китая, некоторые грани международного значения “модернизации китайского типа”, практические стороны культурной дипломатии России в отношении КНР.
