| Description: | More than half a century of evolution of the system of advanced training of metrologists is described — from mastering the basics of metrology to studying the legal foundations of metrological activity. It is said about the history of the development of the department Legal metrology, the main directions of development of legal metrology in the future of the department are given. The department plans to organize the training of specialists in the programs Economics of metrology, on metrological support of measurements in quality infrastructures, on the preparation of expert metrologists for certification, including experts in metrology to work in technical committees for standardization. VNIIMS continues work on general issues of legal metrology. Its subject is the establishment, implementation and protection of legal, technical and technical-legal norms that regulate relations arising in the process of metrological activity. The results of these works will be taken into account in the activities of the department. Department staff is currently involved in the preparation of electronic lectures on the specialization of the department. Описывается более чем полувековая эволюция системы повышения квалификации метрологов — от освоения основ метрологии до изучения правовых основ метрологической деятельности.
