| Description: | The research, carried out among the Bystrinsky Evens of Kamchatka during the ethnographic expedition in July-August 2023, aimed to identify contemporary ethnic processes. The main part of the group lives in the Bystrinsky district, in the village of Anavgai, where the Evens make up about two thirds of the population, and in the district center of Esso, where about 500 Evens live and make up a quarter of the population. During the research, a mass survey of the Evens population on their main ethnic territory was carried out using a special survey list, achieving a sampling rate of 25%. For adults, the questionnaire was filled according to their own answers, and for children it was filled according to their parents’ answers. In total, 196 questionnaires were completed. The mixed pattern of their settlement defined the peculiarities of contemporary ethnic processes — the Evens almost completely forgot their language and traditional culture and use the Russian language. A break of endogamy took place: more than half of the Evens families are mixed in terms of ethnic composition, most often with Russians, but occasionally with other nationalities (Koryaks, Itelmens, etc.). The majority of the Bystrinsky Evens are of mixed origin, and almost all children and youth are mestizos. The ethnic identity of the Evens is quite stable, in mixed families most children are idenitfied as Evens. Natural growth allows at least to maintain the number of this territorial group, but the recent increase in migration outside ethnic territory leads to its reduction. Исследование, проведённое среди быстринских эвенов Камчатки в ходе этнографической экспедиции в июле — августе 2023 г., ставило целью выявить характер современных этнических процессов в этой группе. Основная её часть проживает в Быстринском районе, в селе Анавгай, где эвены составляют около двух третей населения, и в районном центре Эссо, где проживает около 500 эвенов, что составляет четверть населения. В ходе исследования был проведён массовый опрос на основной этнической территории по 25-процентной выборке по специальному опросному листу. На взрослых опросный лист составлялся при непосредственной беседе, на детей — со слов родителей. Всего было составлено 196 опросных листов. Отмечается, что смешанный характер расселения определил особенности происходящих этнических процессов: эвены почти забыли свой язык и традиционную культуру, перешли на русский язык. Произошёл прорыв эндогамии: более половины семей — смешанные по национальному составу, чаще всего с русскими, но также и с другими национальностями (коряками, ительменами и др.). Выявлено, что доля лиц смешанного происхождения среди быстринских эвенов составляет большинство, а среди детей и молодёжи почти все — метисы. Этническое самосознание эвенов довольно устойчиво, в смешанных семьях большинство детей определяются как эвены. Естественный прирост позволяет хотя бы сохранять численность этой территориальной группы, однако участившиеся в последнее время миграции за пределы этнической территории ведут к её сокращению. |
