| Περιγραφή: | The problems of environmental protection, environmental safety and sustainable development, as well as the rational use of natural resources are very often transboundary in nature. These include the use and protection of freshwater and sea water, long-range air pollution, desertification and flooding, pollution from transport, the danger of radioactive contamination and the consequences of hostilities. In the modern world, it is understood that the protection of water resources requires a comprehensive approach involving not one, but several sectors, which would combine environmental needs with the right to development and which would be based on a holistic analysis of the productive capacity of the aquatic environment. For most countries, such a comprehensive approach that combines action across all sectors is new and complex, and often more difficult than international coordination required to solve transboundary problems. Currently, more than half of the world's population lives in the territory occupied by transboundary water river basins and their management is a difficult task for politicians. In this connection, the need to strengthen cooperation between different states having common water basins is increasing. Проблемы охраны окружающей среды, экологической безопасности и устойчивого развития, а также рационального использования природных ресурсов по своему характеру очень часто являются трансграничными. К ним относятся: использование и охрана запасов пресной и морской воды, загрязнение воздуха на большие расстояния, опустынивание и наводнения, загрязнение от транспорта, опасность радиоактивного загрязнения и последствия военных действий. |
