Description: The article is devoted to the theory of modernization in relation to the Weimar Republic and the Third Reich in Germany. “General-purpose” approaches to the history of modernization theory do not satisfy researchers, which leads to the defense of the ideas of multiple modernization. Moreover, manifestations of the variability of modernization processes in the historical process are found not only in countries outside Western Europe, but also in the countries of Western Europe itself, which destroys ideas about the civilizational unity of the countries of this territory and a certain conditional model of "modernization" as a transition to a state of modernity. The article analyzes approaches to assessing the processes of transformations in Germany during the specified period: in the political, social and economic spheres, testifying to the ongoing modernization processes in Germany from the November Revolution of 1918 to the post-war period. The author concludes that the current state of research on the theory of modernization and modernization problems in the period after the November Revolution of 1918 allows us to create a theoretical and methodological basis for studying the period of the Weimar Republic and the Third Reich from the standpoint of the country's transition to modernity and the implementation of the necessary transformations. Germany's political, social, and economic systems retained the rudiments characteristic of pre-modernity society. The revolution solved some of the stagnant problems, but did not abolish everything: in particular, class division and landowner land ownership, which led to a long and difficult path of social changes that ended only after World War II.
Статья посвящена теории модернизации применительно к Веймарской республике и Третьему рейху в Германии. Универсалистские подходы на историю теории модернизации не удовлетворяют исследователей, что ведет к отстаиванию идей множественной модернизации. Причем проявления вариативности модернизационных процессов в историческом процессе обнаруживается не только в странах за пределами Западной Европы, но и в странах самой Западной Европы, что разрушает представления о цивилизационном единстве стран данной территории и некой условной модели «модернизации» как перехода в состояние нововременности. В статье анализируются подходы к оценке процессов трансформаций в Германии в указанный период: в политической, социальной и экономической сферах, свидетельствующих о продолжавшихся модернизационных процессах в Германии с Ноябрьской революции 1918 г. до послевоенного периода. Автор приходит к выводу, что современное состояние исследований теории модернизации и проблем модернизации в период после «Ноябрьской революции 1918 г.» позволяет создать теоретическую и методологическую базу для исследования периода Веймарской республики и Третьего рейха с позиций перехода страны в модернити и реализации необходимых трансформаций. Политическая, социальная и экономическая системы Германии сохраняли рудименты, характерные для общества до модернити. Революция решила часть застоявшихся проблем, но не упразднила все: в частности, сословное деление и помещичье землевладение, что привело к долгому и трудному пути социальных изменений, закончившихся только после Второй мировой войны.
