Περιγραφή: Николай Михайлович Карамзин – один из основоположников отечественной исторической науки, излагая ход исторических событий, пытался объяснять поступки людей с точки зрения того, что они руководствовались собственными интересами и страстями. Поэтому на страницах его «Истории государства Российского» присутствует огромное количество исторических лиц – знаменитых и малоизвестных. Среди них преобладают мужчины. Объясняется это тем, что Карамзин опирался на средневековые источники, в которых деяния именно мужчин находили преимущественное отражение. Тем не менее, Карамзин попытался преодолеть гендерный дисбаланс, уделяя внимание и женским персонажам. В статье проанализировано, кто из женщин в русской истории привлёк внимание Карамзина, в каком контексте он их упоминает, на каких биографических деталях писатель заостряет внимание. С помощью статистических подсчётов показано распределение лиц женского пола по сюжетам, демографическим и социальным категориям. К статье приложены таблицы, содержащие данные по ономастике женских имён.
Nikolai Mikhailovich Karamzin, one of the founders of the Russian historical science, setting out the course of historical events, tried to explain the actions of people in terms of the fact that they were guided by their own interests and passions. Therefore, in the pages of his "History of the Russian state" there is a huge number of historical figures, famous and little-known. Most of them are men. This is explained by the fact that Karamzin relied on medieval sources, in which the actions of men were primarily reflected. However, Karamzin tried to overcome the gender imbalance, paying attention to the female characters. The article analyzes which of the women in Russian history attracted the attention of Karamzin, in what context he mentions them, on what biographical details the writer focuses his attention. With the help of statistical calculations shows the distribution of female subjects, demographic and social categories. Tables containing data on the onomastics of female names are attached to the article.
