| Description: | The article reveals and clarifies the concept of "space", determines its content from the point of view of the regional economy. The presence of the problem of weak development in modern economic science of the system of criteria for a comprehensive assessment of the economic space of the region is noted, the composition of factors influencing regional development is considered, taking into account spatial connectivity. В статье раскрывается и уточняется понятие «пространство», определяется его содержание с точки зре- ния региональной экономики. Отмечено наличие проблемы слабого развития в современной экономической науке системы критериев для комплексной оценки экономического пространства региона, рассмотрен состав факторов, влияющих на региональное развитие с учетом пространственной связанности.
