Ее необычно большой размер и особая разъясняющая иконография заставляет предположить, что произведение является репликой утраченной храмовой иконы церкви Благовещения на Городище ипродолжает традицию христианского просвещен1270 г., ксозданию которого имели отношение заказчик чернец Симон из Юрьева монастыря иписец Георгий, работавший при церкви Благовещения на Городище. Констатируется сходство этих миниатюр с иконами Спас на престоле, с избранными святыми (ГТГ) и Св. Иоанн Лествичник, Георгий иВласий (ГРМ), которые созданы, возможно, тем же художником. The fi rst part of the article examines the icon of the Annunciation (STG) from the St. George cathedral of the Yuriev monastery. Its unusually large size and special explanatory iconography makes us believe it to be a replica of the lost icon which once had existed in the church of the Annunciation at Gorodische, in line with the tradition of Christian education well-known from th century Russian art. In the second part, we discuss the miniatures of 1270 Simonov Gospel. Two people are known to have been involved in its creation its original commissioner, Simon, a monk of the Yuriev Monastery, and the scribe Georgiy, who worked at the church of the Annunciation at Gorodische. These miniatures have been found to resemble two Novgorod icons with red background: Savior on the throne with saints interceding (STG) and St. John Climacus with Sts. George and Blaise (SRM), which were presumably created by the same painter. |
