A variational approach is applied to obtain lower and upper estimates for the functional of a homogeneous isotropic dielectric domain in an external electric field. Density of charges, which are induced by the external field, is evaluated by virtue of characteristic multipoles for test fields in functionals. Both lower and upper approximating sequences are constructed. |
