Debugging is a programming technique or process used to find and correct computer program errors or mistakes, known as bugs. Debugging is performed to create robust programs, programs that compute reliable results for a broad range of input values, and reject illegal input. Different types of errors (bugs) in computers are identified and corrected using different debugging techniques. Bugs are commonly divided into three types: syntactic errors, logical errors, and algorithmic errors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
