| Abstract: | The article discusses the need of reform in the Support Establishment of the U.S. Marine Corps, particularly the Marine Corps Combat Development Command (MCCDC) and Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC). It reflects on the criticisms of the support establishment of the Department of Defense (DoD) by former Secretary Robert Gates and counterarguments related to the subject. The principles that Marine Corps officers should consider in designing an Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) are also provided. |
