Περίληψη: The article focuses on the relevance of the computer models for automated unit balancing. It is stated that the modeling of biological systems needs validation to assure that the model is a good representation of the real biological or mechanical system. The mathematical modeling language (MML) involves user specification of units that should be simple, intuitive, and unambiguous. Meanwhile, the Java-based simulation system helps the modelers find conceptual errors in their equations and allows them to intermix variables without adding conversion factors.
