Περίληψη: This study delves into the influence of multiple slip conditions on magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) boundary layer Falkner-Skan flow over a wedge-shaped geometry, while also considering the characteristics of a nanofluid. The novelty of this analysis is that it was conducted with the combined effect of higher-order multiple slip and convective boundary conditions on fluid flow properties within the boundary layer (BL) region. The BL equations governing the momentum, temperature, and concentration in nanofluid flow are solved by converting the time-independent partial differential equations (PDEs) into a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs) using similarity transformations. By employing the quasi-linearization method (QLM) for numerical solutions to solve the transformation equations, we can see how the slip parameter, magnetic field strength, wedge angle, and nanofluid properties affect the flow and heat transfer sensitivity. The findings indicate that slip conditions can significantly modify the velocity and temperature profiles, leading to enhanced or diminished heat transfer rates depending on specific parameter combinations. The analysis demonstrates that fluid velocity and nanoparticle volume fraction increase within the boundary layer region as the 1st-order velocity slip parameter increases and decreases with a rise of the 2nd-order slip parameter. Furthermore, the temperature decreases with the 1st-order velocity slip parameter increases but increases with increasing values of the 2nd-order slip parameter. The temperature and nanoparticle volume fraction decrease for 1st-order thermal and concentration slip parameters but with a rise for 2nd-order slip parameters. This study yields valuable insights for designing and optimizing thermal systems where nanofluids and MHD effects play a significant role, particularly in applications involving wedge-shaped geometries.
