The present study is to examine the literature in order to assess its merits and drawbacks and extract the necessary data, which will be utilized to identify the attributes of reverse engineering methodologies., define them, and identify the prosthetics knee joints. Lastly, the next research program will be suggested. A multi-stage research technique was employed to achieve the research objectives. The research started with geometric modeling based on reverse engineering techniques and knee Joint designing and manufacturing literature review to fulfill research objectives. This research provides a summary of the literature pertinent to the subject of the current thesis, highlighting several difficulties with each study's principal results. The study, therefore, includes more than 35 studies from 2010 to 2023 distributed under two main titles which are: Geometric modeling based on reverse engineering techniques, and knee Joint designing and manufacturing.
