Title: Zukünftige Features des JDK. (German)
Authors: Vitz, Michael
Source: JavaSPEKTRUM; 2024, Issue 2, p18-22, 5p
Subject Terms: Interpolation, Keywords
Abstract (English): The article discusses future features of the Java Development Kit (JDK), particularly the features expected to be introduced as previews in JDK 22. These include, among other things, the ability to access variables before calling constructors, the introduction of string templates for easier string interpolation, and the development of a new API for intermediate operations in streams, called Gatherer. Furthermore, pattern matching for primitive types is addressed, which is planned as a preview feature in JDK 23. Finally, the idea of a new keyword "with" to support the modification of records is mentioned, although it is still in the conceptual phase. [Extracted from the article]
[Extracted from the article]
