Abstract (English): The article reflects on the changes in academic journals and their relationship with measurements and excessive control. The homogenization of scientific production is criticized, and there is a call to expand measurement systems in order to not affect the dissemination of science. Additionally, the articles present in volume 14, number 2 of the Revista Colombiana de Ciencias Sociales are mentioned, which address various topics. One of the articles contrasts funeral rites and mourning during the pandemic with those of the past in Sincelejo, Colombia. Another article describes water and energy saving behavior in the homes of university students in Medellín. [Extracted from the article]
Abstract (Spanish): El artículo reflexiona sobre los cambios en las revistas académicas y su relación con las mediciones y el control excesivo. Se critica la homogenización de la producción científica y se llama a ampliar los sistemas de medición para no afectar la difusión de la ciencia. Además, se mencionan los artículos presentes en el volumen 14, número 2 de la Revista Colombiana de Ciencias Sociales, que abordan diversos temas. Uno de los artículos contrasta los ritos funerarios y el duelo durante la pandemia con los del pasado en Sincelejo, Colombia. Otro artículo describe el comportamiento de ahorro de agua y energía en hogares de estudiantes universitarios de Medellín. [Extracted from the article]
