Abstract: The article discusses the investigation by the Italian Data Protection Authority (DPA) about the artificial intelligence research laboratory OpenAI's ChatGPT considering the massive use of the application. The Italian DPA imposed on OpenAI a temporary limitation of processing under Article 58(2)(f) General Data Protection Regulation, whereby a supervisory authority has the power to impose a temporary or definitive limitation, including a ban on processing in the context of an urgent procedure.
