Περίληψη: A new seco-iridoid glycoside, named neocornuside I (1), together with seven previously reported compounds (2-8) were isolated from fruits of Cornus officinalis Sieb. et Zucc. Their structures were determined by extensive analysis of HRESIMS, IR, UV, 1D and 2D NMR spectral data. The isolated compounds (1-8) were evaluated for their in vitro neuroprotective activities. Based on flow cytometry results, compound 1 was found to alleviate apoptosis and G2/M phase arrest, indicating its considerable neuroprotective effects.
