| Περίληψη: | Solutions to data processing design problems involve using a wide range of sophisticated technical tools. One way of more effectively using these tools is to further develop the human problem solving process by bringing together talented individuals and providing an atmosphere conducive to group interaction. This article investigates some of the psychological background of problem solving and group interaction, and describes a conceptual model to assist in harnessing and directing our latent creative energy. The purpose of this article is to discuss some of the psychological roadblocks encountered in solving problems and describe a process which hopefully can be used to overcome some of those roadblocks. What psychological forces influence the thinking process? How do we affect small group dynamics? Solutions to complex problems are functions of both raw data and the process used to convert that data to an idea. We have advanced "technical" raw data collection using various systems analysis and programming techniques, but there have been far fewer improvements to the process of creative group problem solving.
