Abstract (English): Taking the embroidery patterns of the She ethnic group in southeastern Jiangxi as the research object, the translation path of these patterns in the design of new Chinese-style seats by systematically sorting out the pattern pedigree was explored in this study and the cultural genes were analyzed, aiming to achieve the organic integration of ethnic cultural elements and the form of new Chinese-style furniture. First, based on the cultural gene theory, a sample library of the She ethnic group's embroidery patterns was constructed, and the pattern features and deep cultural connotations were extracted. Subsequently, combined with the Kansei Engineering theory(KE), the Kansei image vocabulary of new Chinese-style seats was collected through user questionnaires and the semantic differential method, and the core Kansei factors were refined through factor analysis. Then, the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process(FAHP) was used to calculate the multi-criteria weights of the Kansei factors to clarify the key user needs affecting the design. Finally, based on the design index weights determined by KE-FAHP, the innovative design of new Chinese-style seats was completed in combination with the She ethnic group's embroidery patterns, realizing the form regeneration from two-dimensional patterns to threedimensional furniture. A replicable design path of "cultural decoding-Kansei evaluation-weight screening-form regeneration" was constructed in this study. Eventually, new Chinese-style seats with both the cultural characteristics of the She ethnic group and modern aesthetic features were produced, achieving the scientific transformation and living inheritance of intangible cultural heritage patterns in furniture design.
