Περίληψη: With the proliferation of generative AI, researchers are utilizing various AI tools throughout their research, including literature search, data analysis, and paper writing. Recently, there has been an increase in research support services that provide integrated AI tools necessary for the entire research process. However, ScienceON, the national science and technology academic information platform, offers research support functions—such as AI-based search, translation and summarization, and comparative analysis—as individual services. This creates an inconvenience for researchers, who must manually find and utilize the functions they need during the research process. Since this structure of individual services hinders the continuity of a researcher's workflow and makes it difficult to utilize functions in conjunction, there is a need for independently existing AI-based services to be provided within an integrated environment. In this study, we designed and developed IdeaNote, which integrates AI-based research support tools previously dispersed within ScienceON into a single environment. By designing a workflow that reflects the actual flow of a researcher's activities and connecting AI search-based literature recommendation, in-depth literature analysis, comparative literature analysis, and research note functions into a single unit, we enabled seamless support for the research process, extending from literature search to analysis, idea recording, and document drafting. This study is significant in that it integrated AI functions previously scattered across existing academic information platforms into a single interconnected service, going beyond simple interface combination to present a research flow-centered service integration methodology and empirically verifying it through a pilot usability evaluation. As a result of the evaluation, users positively assessed the user experience of IdeaNote, noting that the interconnectedness of functions ensured a continuous research flow. Moving forward, IdeaNote plans to be further developed into an AI agent-based service that automatically identifies the user's intent and performs desired tasks. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
