| Abstract (English): | This work offers an introduction to management sciences by situating them as a pluralistic social discipline rooted in the French tradition, focused on the study of organizations through the analysis of situations and management mechanisms. It examines the dual nature of management sciences, both practical for practitioners and a scientific project for researchers, by developing an epistemology based on "coupling regimes" between theory and practice. The authors draw on the notion of governmentality, derived from Michel Foucault, to understand management as a "conduct of conduct" within organizations, articulated through sociotechnical mechanisms that structure collective action. The book highlights an extended sociotechnical approach, integrating the material, discursive, and symbolic dimensions of these mechanisms, in order to address contemporary challenges of social and environmental responsibility. Primarily intended for researchers and doctoral students, it also offers practitioners keys to rethink management beyond a simple toolbox. [Extracted from the article] |
[Extracted from the article] |
