Abstract: This article assesses the influence of sustainable leadership on the re-engineering of Management Information Systems (MIS). Despite numerous studies on this subject and other studies examining the relationship between leadership style and organizational change, little research has examined the underlying tools of the transformation process, particularly in developing countries such as Iraq. Sixty (60) end users of the MIS at Mosul University were surveyed in this study. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS, Version 26) was used to analyze the data, employing Spearman correlation and simple linear regression techniques to assess relationships and the developed hypotheses. The results revealed a statistically significant positive relationship and effect of sustainable leadership on the re-engineering of management information systems. The study provides insights into leadership-driven approaches for successful organizational transformation in higher education and lays the foundation for effective transformational initiatives.
