Abstract: The article focuses on three actively exploited vulnerabilities in Microsoft SharePoint that have been added to the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEV) catalog. CISA urges organizations to promptly patch affected SharePoint servers, follow mitigation guidance, and implement additional defenses such as network segmentation and threat hunting, as patching alone may not prevent persistent attacker access or business disruption. The vulnerabilities include CVE-2026-332201, CVE-2026-45659, and CVE-2026-56164, the latter being an elevation-of-privilege flaw exploitable remotely without authentication. CISA has mandated Federal Civilian Executive Branch agencies to remediate CVE-2026-56164 within three days under Binding Operational Directive 22-01. [Extracted from the article]
