Περίληψη: This article focuses on factors influencing German dairy farmers' behavioral intention (BI) to implement animal welfare (AW) practices, based on an updated survey sample of 712 participants. Using a theoretical model incorporating nine constructs—including performance expectancy (PE), effort expectancy (EE), facilitating conditions (FC), hedonic motivation (HM), mastery approach goal (MAG), social influence (SI), price value (PV), and continuous enhancement (CE)—the study applies partial least squares structural equation modeling to analyze direct and mediated effects on BI. Results highlight CE as a key mediator strongly influenced by MAG, HM, and FC, with HM showing both direct and indirect positive effects on BI, while other constructs exhibit varying patterns of influence. The sample represents larger, future-oriented dairy farms in Germany, and the study underscores the importance of intrinsic motivation, habitual behavior, and knowledge acquisition in adopting AW practices.
